Monitoring
The changes mentioned in the previous update are in the process of being removed now. We will post an update to let you all know once that happens!
We have received a few further messages from teachers who are reporting more than x3 notifications per student which have been acknowledged. Although we've have not been able to reproduce these results, we will start a new investigation once the aforementioned solution has been implemented to ensure all issues have been fully addressed.
Many thanks for all your input so far. We will keep you all posted so please return to this page for further updates.

Identified
We'd like to give you an update on this issue. The multiple quiz notifications that are currently being reported are not duplicates, they are multiple attempts taken by the same student.
Students are allowed up to 3 attempts for each quiz. Until recently, our system would notify teachers when the first attempt was completed. However, many teachers reported that they would prefer to be notified for all submissions, as students may improve their scores on the second or third attempt. Due to popular demand, we implemented this change that created notifications for the remaining two attempts. As a result, a teacher might receive up to three notifications per student per quiz.
As a temporary solution, we have decided to revert the recent changes and only notify teachers once per student; we will review this feature request again in the future. We apologise to those who preferred this approach!

Update
We have not uncovered any issues with Spelling test notifications despite the earlier reports. These notifications are found to be working as expected.
However, we have identified an issue with the notifications for Quiz attempts and are prepping to implement a solution as quickly as possible! We will keep you posted.

Investigating
We are currently investigating reports from teachers who have received duplicate notifications for the same event. We have been made aware that this occurs for quiz and spelling tests submissions and sometimes multiple notifications are received for the same student.
Our engineering team are looking into this and we will update you shortly. We apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime.
